OnePlus wants to work hard to improve the cameras of its smartphones

In recent years, net of some questionable choices, the quality of OnePlus smartphones has undoubtedly grown exponentially, however, the cameras have not yet reached the level of the best competitors.

Evidently, the Chinese manufacturer is aware of this gap and is willing to work to reduce the gap: in a recent discussion on the Weibo portal, the co-founder and current CEO of OnePlus Pete Lau has exposed himself to this effect.

The executive said in fact that the efforts of the company’s Research and Development department will soon be focused mainly on improving the quality of the cameras of OnePlus smartphones.

On the other hand, the top of the range of the brand has now reached an excellent level on all fronts, but the photographic quality often remains a sore point of the various reviews, if not in an absolute sense certainly in comparison with the other flagships.

A few steps forward have already been taken in the last year, but OnePlus itself is clearly aware of the power and duty to make a further leap in quality.

In this sense, the collaboration with Leica for the photographic sector of the OnePlus 9 series which has been talked about in recent rumors would be an important step in the right direction.
