Once again, the ranking of the best performing Android smartphones globally according to AnTuTu’s findings is dominated by Huawei Mate 40 Pro, the only smartphone currently on the market with an SoC, the Kirin 9000, made at 5 nanometers. The natural rival, Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 888, has been presented but is not yet used on any smartphone, except on the Xiaomi Mi 11 sold, for the moment, only in China (but has already shown what it’s made of).
In the meantime, therefore, the first competitor arrives, the December global ranking of AnTuTu sees the top of the Huawei range at the top while below only products powered by Qualcomm and the Snapdragon 865, top of the range SoC of 2020. As per recent habit, AnTuTu has compiled two rankings: one concerning the top of the range, the other the mid-range.
December 2020 AnTuTu global ranking for the high end
The first sees ten top of the range enclosed in about 80,000 points, with the 600,000 thresholds already exceeded for some time. The podium, in addition to the aforementioned Chinese flagship, is occupied in order by Vivo iQOO Neo3 and ASUS ROG Phone 3, gaming smartphone with the Plus variant, therefore enhanced, of the Snapdragon 865. OPPO Find X2 Pro follows, which from the presentation does not has never deserted the ranking, and Samsung Galaxy Note 20 Ultra 5G, in the Qualcomm variant, which “close” the list of smartphones above 600 thousand points.
From the sixth position onwards the scores are quite similar: Xiaomi Mi 10T Pro, Xiaomi Black Shark 3, Samsung Galaxy S20 FE 5G, and POCO F2 Pro are in fact enclosed in just over 10,000 points. It is worth remembering that AnTuTu indicates the average value of the scores recorded by each model, not the peak value and that at least 1,000 measurements are needed to enter the ranking.
AnTuTu global ranking for December 2020 for the mid-range
The December 2020 AnTuTu ranking relating to mid-range crowns HONOR 30, capable of touching 405,000 points. Under a whisker, there is another product powered by the Kirin 985 SoC, Huawei Nova 7, while Redmi 10X does not reach the 400 thousand points milestone but still finishes third. It is the only smartphone with a MediaTek SoC in the first half of the ranking since between the fourth and sixth box there are three products with an American heart, Xiaomi Mi 10T-Lite, Redmi K30, and Xiaomi Mi 10 Lite 5G.
Seventh Huawei Nova 7i with another Kirin, this time the 810, and down to the tenth box with three other smartphones with MediaTek SoC, although not very recently such as Helio G95 and Helio G90T: Realme 7, Redmi Note 8 Pro and Realme 6.
